First and Second days of the MBA
Yesterday was the first day and we had to turn up for the oriationation in full suit you can see seom of us in the pic below. Thankfully this is not the normal dresscode but they wanted us in suits cos they were taking photos of each of us f0r the profile book (they actually make a profile book and circulate it among the prospective employers it's great!) The photograph session was quite fun cos I felt like I was in some modeling shoot, with the photographer making us pose in many ways and spending about half an hour on each of us. (I'm waiting to see the results :0) )
Got to speak to most of the class they were really nice and highly international (I think the brits were a minority!) Unfortunatly after meeting so many I'm not too sure about the names, we all wore name tags.
After the orientation around 20 of us went to the Queen's College formal dinner.
Today was the first day of lectures and it was a bit wierd after so long... We had Economics and though I expected the lecture to be really boring the lecturer made it pretty interesting with lots of real life exaples and the students really got involved too. One other good thing is that the lecture hall are circle shaped and we sit in a semi circle around the lecturer so everyone gets to see him clearly, only problem was that we had 3.30 hrs of it with breaks of course and my brain had gone on strike by the time the lecture ended!!!
